That's awesome. I knew the responses were quick, but I didn't realize they had helped with a situation that dangerous. I'm really glad that got resolved.

Richard and everyone at MLGW did a fantastic job of listening to our concerns about a dangerous situation when the reporting system didn't have good information. Through twitter and twitpic, we were able to get the situation escalated and could have prevented a dangerous situation when they attempted to turn power back on. An MLGW worker was addressing our concerns in person when a fuse was replaced, leading to another "pop" of a live wire in the connection. He was able to get a crew out to get the situation resolved within a couple of hours after he recognized the danger.

All in all, the service was excellent once the communication breakdown was circumvented via twitter.

Nice! One more example of how they've just been on top of everything this weekend. Glad to hear it.

Nicely done - kudos to Richard and MLGW for making such an effort to keep people informed. I asked about their outage map early Saturday morning (I was routed to a bad link from a referring page) and within minutes, the link was fixed and RT'd to the masses. Great work in a tough situation. - Chris
